The New York Times agrees with the K-landnews, German public TV not good.
We found it via a detour. Der Spiegel online writes about the NYT writing about German public TV.
The K-landnews post "TV licenses for the deaf and blind" was not kind to the big German broadcasters, and our problem is that we love the idea of public broadcasting.
We do not wish an American style pledge drive model on the German broadcasters but maybe there will come a day when someone has to get serious about what 7 billion euros a year can and should buy.
For those of you who are not among our regular readers, remember, we find agreement the old fashioned way: we write something, then we wait, and sooner or later someone will produce something we can interpret as "agrees with us".
