The Moth - True stories told live, is another gem of U.S. public broadcasting.
If you need something to set your head straight after a hard day's work of chasing kids who distribute PowerPoint presentations, or of inflating your ego to the point of power addiction, grab an episode of The Moth Radio Hour or any of the many podcasts.
Some stories are side splitting and enchanting, like the one told by the American doctor who was summoned to Mother Theresa's hospital bed in India.
Other stories may not be recommended before a meal.
The one about eating the placenta falls into this group.
The podcast is a hilarious account of a dinner discussion about eating the placenta after giving birth.
It just so happens that a short search after the podcast brought us to an article in The Atlantic of March 22, 2013.
We particularly recommend the placenta podcast if you were recently asked in a hearing whether the NSA collected "any" data on Americans and answered no.
